Campaign Story

My name is Kristen Scafati and I have endometriosis. Endometriosis is a health condition in women where the tissues grow outside of the uterus causing extreme pain and often infertility. My husband Anthony and I have been trying to have a baby for the past six years. We have suffered through two miscarriages in that time. Unfortunately, endometriosis is making it very difficult to conceive on our own.
We have already completed one round of IVF. We had great numbers to start but unfortunately only one embryo resulted and after genetic testing our little embryo came back abnormal and unable to transfer. We are starting our second cycle this month and my insurance is only covering specific costs. The medication/injections are not covered this round and neither is the PGT testing which is necessary due to our history with miscarriages and endometriosis.
If you know Anthony and I then you know our absolute adoration for children. We want to be parents more than anything and unfortunately we can’t conceive as easy as others which is why we’re trying IVF again.
